This walk follows the boardwalk from the Ermita Virgen del Rosario into Benahavis as far as the central square. The route is a gentle climb affording spectacular  views of the surrounding cliffs, the Angosturas Gorge and the Guadalmina river. On the return, the route drops down to the river again, passes a delightful public park, and re-joins the boardwalk. Refreshments (or brunch) can be taken at the central square before the downhill return.

Meeting Point

Take the A7175 for Benahavis off the A7, which is the second exit after the San Pedro tunnel from Marbella. At the roundabout, take the Benahavis exit. At the next roundabout, decorated with the iconic Benahavis tower, go straight ahead. The road goes under the AP7 and then comes to a a new roundabout. Again, go straight across for Benahavis and after about 1 km, look for the clearing in the woods on the right where the Ermita and carpark  are situated.
