The walk begins across the road from Hotel El Mirador and proceeds through La Paca Urbanisation and up the Camino Forestal entering the pine forest after 400 metres. After a gradual climb uphill it takes a circular route heading east along a pleasant path with views of the Bay of Malaga before a 100 metre steep climb up to the path above. This feeds back west before climbing up past the Fuente de Acebuche (wild olive spring) to the Forest Guard’s house where there is a stop for a break and a chance to admire the spectacular views of the Guadalhorce valley. The return stage continues west along the scenic path before branching down a fire break and rejoining the Camino Forestal down to La Paca Urbanisation and Hotel El Mirador.
