ERMITA DE LOS MONJES

At the start, the path follows a stream to the remains of an old church until it reaches the point with the great views of Marbella, Puerto Banús and across to Gibraltar on a clear day.  It is then a circular route back to the start via ancient paths some of which are reduced to animal tracks. There is some climbing particularly at the beginning of approx. 200 metres.

Directions to the Meeting Place

This walk starts at the back of Marbella after driving through a housing estate.

Take exit 184 from the A7 (Marbella Bus Station) and head north, driving across the (first) roundabout at the Bus Station, also passing the petrol station. Continue straight over the second roundabout. At the third roundabout turn left and drive up a hill with a long steel fence on the right-hand side. Follow this road as it swings around to the left and then turn right into Av. Florida where there is a sign for the car park (also for Colegio Xarblanca). This car park is the meeting place.
