Country Walk February 3, 2020 10:30am Car park Osunillas football ground, near the municipal swimming pool in Mijas
Tony Ruiz

This beautiful walk starts on a slight uphill gradient to the Graja pass at the beginning of which there is a large Aleppo pine tree – ‘Pino Del Puerto de la Graja’. The route from there leads down towards the Jarapalos fountain with some cliffs to the left – Tajo La Yedra and Tajo Del Caballo. It then continues past the Calera de Jarapalos and a large alberca (Reservoir). After a descent down stone steps and a walk alongside the Sequia fountains a break will be taken at a picnic area near the Forestry building. From there, at the junction of the large chestnut tree, the return journey is gently up back to the Graja pass. The walk is 2.5 to 3 hours in duration.
