JUANAR CIRCUIT
The Juanar Circuit is a fairly short but sometimes steep walk around the back of the Refugio de Juanar hotel, initially following the route to La Concha.
This walk begins in the direction of the Mirador, passes through the forest gates and then bears right, proceeding towards La Concha/Istán. Instead of then turning left and climbing towards La Concha, the route heads towards Istán through a gap in the hills. After a steep climb the route drops down to cross a dry and rocky valley.
A second climb follows, after which there will be the opportunity to stop for a snack. The route then rises gently up a rough forest road before dropping steeply back down to the Refugio on the same path as the final section of the Pozuelo hill walk.
