This is a scenic circular walk into the hills to the north of the hotel 'Refugio de Juanar'.

From the parking area near the hotel walkers take the paved road back down towards the main road. After half a kilometre or so they leave the road and descend into the valley on the left. From there it becomes a long single-file climb northward up the rocky path that traverses the hill.  The route then reaches the ridge and turns left into a wooded area passing an old well and some irrigation works that have fallen into disrepair. Emerging from the woods the wonderful mountain views over towards Torrecilla make the climb well worth the effort. The walk continues for some distance on a scenic, undulating track before eventually dropping down steeply to the Refugio.
