MONDA CIRCUIT
This walk in the open country around Monda has wonderful views of La Torrecilla and La Sierra de Las Nieves.
On leaving the car park the first section is a steep ascent out of Monda village and up past the castle. The walk continues upwards to the Gun and Country Club (currently closed) and then drops into a valley where there is a stream running through (this can be easily crossed). Then it is back up again, steeply out of the valley. Once at the top there is a stop for a break to take in the view and enjoy a snack. The route returns to Monda via an old mule trail for refreshments at the usual bar (La Jaula).
The walk should take a little under 4 hours. Well behaved dogs are welcome although they will need to be kept on the lead in certain sections as there are many farm dogs around.
