This is a recently added walk up to a spectacular waterfall in the hills above Tolox.  Due to limited car parking space the group will meet at the large car park in front of the Venta Umami and car share from there.

The walk begins next to the Balneario de Tolox and follows a well-made path beside the Rio de los Caballos, passing several water meadows fed by ancient Nazari irrigation channels.  At this stage the route is the same as the Charco de la Virgen Country Walk.

After crossing the river several times the route branches left, climbing into the hills above the Charco de la Virgen.  After a steady ascent along a narrow path the route reaches a wider hill road affording spectacular views of the eastern edge of the Sierra de las Nieves.  This road gradually deteriorates in quality and some scrambling along a steep hillside is required at the final point before reaching the spectacular Cascada La Rejia which, at 50 metres, is said to be one of the highest waterfalls in Málaga Province.

After a short break for refreshments the walk returns to Tolox along the same path.
