Monda Valley circular

We will meet in Monda car park and will be leaving at 10am.

This walk is in the vicinity of Monda and on leaving the car park we start a steep ascent out of Monda village, up past the castle. We then descend into the valley where there is a stream running through which we will cross (easily passable). Then ascend out of the valley and once at the top we will stop for a break; we will then make our way back to Monda. This is fantastic countryside with mountain views – at the moment a lot of the flowers are budding and giving of lovely scents. Myself, Barry and Vernon did this walk on Wednesday which was a cloudy and partially rainy day and even in these conditions the views were fantastic. This is a circular walk of 11.2 kms and should take 2 1/2 hours approx. Afterwards back to usual bar in Monda for a coffee or cerveza.
