MARBELLA TOURIST OFFICE TO VICTORS BEACH
sandpiper Walk
Walk participants will head west along the paseo maritimo towards Puerto Banus passing some of Marbella’s beachfront shops and restaurants before crossing a small stream. They will then continue along the paseo passing the upmarket chiringuitos of the Marbella Beach Club and Puerto Romano before arriving at Victors Beach, There will be an opportunity to take refreshments before returning along the same route.

sandpiper Walk
Walk Participants will head West along the boardwalk passing Rio Real, sand dunes and the Parque Mediterraneo before joining the paseo maritimo at La Dolce Vita chiringuito. Participants will then pass the Fishermen’s lockups and arrive at the Fishermen’s cottages opposite the Marina La Bajadilla. There will be an opportunity to take refreshments at Restaurante Canuto before returning along the same Route.

ESTEPONA MURALS AND OLD TOWN
sandpiper Walk
This walk is from Parque de Calistenia to Estepona old town and return, using the boardwalk and Estepona Paseo Maritimo. The walk starts along the boardwalk at the back of Carrefour Estepona and continues along the Paseo Maritimo past the seafront flowerbeds and palm trees. The route then turns inland to view some of the many murals painted on the sides of Estepona buildings and into the old town where there will be an opportunity for participants to take coffee, before returning along the paseo to the starting point.

CALA DE MIJAS TO RIVIERA PLAYA

This walk goes west from the Torre de la Bateria along the sendero litoral towards Riviera Playa. Much of the route is by boardwalk, affording pleasant views of this interesting part of the coast. Refreshments will be taken at the chiringuito ‘El Juncal’ at Rivera Playa before the return.

PUERTO BANUS RIVERS
sandpiper Walk
Participants leave Puerto Banus walking under the A7 towards the Plaza de Toros then cross the footbridge on the right across the Arroyo Benabola. They then follow the river for about 1.5km whilst enjoying magnificent views of the mountains towards La Concha. Participants then return the same way back along the river walk returning to Puerto Banus Marina and along the Paseo maritimo towards Marbella. After crossing the footbridge over the Rio Verde there is an opportunity for refreshments. Participants return to Puerto Banus along the paseo maritimo and past the La Victoria statue.

CABOPINO TO PLAYA DE CALAHONDA RIVIERA

From the parking area participants will walk around the picturesque Cabopino harbour and then take the completed boardwalk which runs alongside the back of the beach toward Cala de Mija and past the Torre De Calahonda. There will be an opportunity to stop at a chiringuito for coffee before the return via the same route.

MARBELLA TOURIST OFFICE TO RIO REAL

Walk Participants will head east along the busy Marbella paseo maritimo following the orange trees and passing the Fishermen’s cottages and lockups. They will then continue along the paseo past chiringuito La Dolce Vita before entering the boardwalk along the sand dunes that leads towards Bahia de Marbella. Along the way participants will have sea views, and on the left, they will see various commercial enterprises, luxury urbanizations and the Rio Real golf course. There will be an opportunity to take refreshments at a chiringuito before returning along the same route.

CASTILLO SOHAIL TO LOS BOLICHES PLAYA, FUENGIROLA

Leaving the Parque del Castillo behind, with its castle resplendent on the hill, this walk embarks on the Fuengirola Paseo Maritimo. It crosses the Fuengirola river, passes the Puerto Deportivo and arrives at the Espigon de la T and then continues to Los Boliches playa. It passes a variety of street bars and chiringuitos, which in full season are a hub of activity. Return is by the same route after an opportunity for refreshments at a nearby chiringuito.

Highlights of Marbella
sandpiper Walk
Walk participants will head into Parque de las Ranas following the river to the seafront. They will then proceed along the busy Marbella paseo maritimo following the orange trees and passing the El Fuerte hotel before turning inland towards the Parque de la Represa. After walking up the steady sloping paths in the park they will reach the lakes where sunbathing turtles might be seen. Leaving the park via a set of steps participants will enter the upper part of Marbella old town where they will proceed down the picturesque streets to Plaza de los Naranjos. There will be an opportunity to take refreshments in the old town.
Participants will then head to the Parque de la Alameda via the Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Encaracion. Participants will proceed from the park towards the seafront along Avenida del Mar with its many interesting and impressive statues. They will then return along the Paseo Maritimo and Parque de las Ranas to the starting point.
Note – There is crazy pathing in the Parque de las Ranas, a gentle uphill slope in the Parque de la Represa and approx 30 steps to ascend to the Marbella old town.
