In his previous, very popular, lectures Ragnar covered the development of the Middle East from ancient times up to the Arab “Spring” which he renamed as “autumn” and the emergence of the so-called Islamic state.  On this occasion he will present his thoughts on the more current situation

Ragnar was an Electrical Engineer who worked in the areas of electricity supply and distribution, Industrial automation, marine projects and oil and gas. He lived and worked in the Middle East from 1994 till 2003 covering all countries from Pakistan to Libya.  His knowledge of the area, its history and development over the years, has given him the tools to allow him to share with us further insight into the area.
