This is a lovely walk starting at the Benahavis reservoir, and following the Guadalmina River on the western side, but there is shade in places. The ground has patches of stones in areas, but is generally a good walking surface. This is an easy to medium walk, with gradients in areas, with an overall elevation gain of 132 metres. Passing La Zagaleta and the Goldsmith estate on the other side of the river.

Meeting Point

Take the A-7175 turning to Benahvis off the A-7 after the San Pedro tunnel. Straight over the roundabout and continue along this road, over two roundabouts, then at the 3rd roundabout, turn right just before entering the town. Follow the road around onto Av. La Moraleda and at the top of the cobblestone slope, turn right into C/Los Pinos. Keep right when joining the adjacent road, then follow this road until you reach the reservoir. Parking is on the left-hand side opposite.
