THE QE2 ADVENTURES – ON AND OFF

It is this time of year that many think of booking their next cruise. The presenters, Chris and Dee Beckett, sailed on the legendary QE2 many times over the years. TransAtlantic crossings, voyages to Europe and the Caribbean, and 3 World Cruises including the last World Cruise the QE2 made in 2008.

This legendary ocean liner was the last of the great ships from the halcyon days of sailing across the Atlantic. From 1969 till 2008 this beautiful ship became an icon of the cruise industry. The rich, famous and notorious all sailed on her and even in the days of air travel the QE2 still commanded respect where ever she went.

Dee and Chris will talk about the history of the Cunard shipping line, the QE2, and will introduce the audience to some of the amazing characters that sailed on-board and one that even lived on-board. They will also talk about some of the far flung places they visited: like Pago Pago, Rabul, Nukualofa, and other amazing destinations around the world.
