CALA DE MIJAS TO RIVIERA PLAYA

This walk goes west from the Torre de la Bateria along the sendero litoral towards Riviera Playa. Much of the route is by boardwalk, affording pleasant views of this interesting part of the coast. Refreshments will be taken at the chiringuito 'El Juncal' at Rivera Playa before the return.

Directions to the Meeting Place

CAR

From Marbella take the A7 towards Fuengirola. Take the exit from the A7 towards La Cala De Mijas. At the first roundabout continue straight on towards the centre on town. At the roundabout in the centre of La Cala De Mijas take the second exit towards the large roundabout that is underneath the A7.  Enter the roundabout,  passing under the A7,  and take the next exit. You will see the car park on your left. To reach the entrance, proceed to the next roundabout and take the 3rd exit which will bring you back to the car park entrance. Alternatively, there is a left hand filter lane for the entrance. The meeting point is at the car park corner adjacent to the roundabout. Please refer to the 'what 3words' location. Note - As Wednesday is a market day you may have to drive a little further into the car park.
From the car park walk across the roundabout under the A7 and straight on over the next roundabout proceeding past the shops along Calle Marbella towards the seafront where you will see the Torre de la Bateria. Please refer to the 'what 3words' location.

BUS

Take the 220 bus from Marbella and get off at the stop called La Cala De Mijas V. After leaving the bus turn right past the shops along Calle Marbella towards the seafront where you will see the Torre de la Bateria. The meeting point is at the Torre de la Bateria.
