MONDA CIRCUIT

This walk has fantastic countryside with mountain views in the vicinity of Monda. On leaving the car park the first section is a steep ascent out of Monda village and  up past the castle. The walk continues up towards the Gun and Country Club (currently closed) and then descends into the valley where there is a stream running through which will be crossed (easily passable). Then it´s up again, steeply out of the valley and once at the top there´s a stop for a break to take in the view and enjoy a snack. It´s then back to Monda via an old mule trail for refreshments at the usual bar.

From Marbella

Take the A355 towards Ojén. Continue past Ojén. At Kilometre 20 take the exit to Monda/Guaro. After 200m turn left under the bridge and follow the Monda/Guaro signs until the T junction in the centre of Monda. Turn left. 50 metres down the hill from here is a speed bump and La Jaula Bar. At this point turn sharp right into the car park.

From Coín/Alhaurín/Cártama

Take the A355 towards Marbella. After Kilometre 16 take the Monda exit. Follow the winding road into the centre of Monda. Keep to the right at the junction (following signs to Guaro). 50 metres down the hill from here is a speed bump and La Jaula Bar. At this point turn sharp right into the car park.
