This is a topical quiz aimed at promoting good fun and friendship with a hint of competitiveness.
It is intended that a quiz will be held regularly during the season generally on the last Friday of each month.
Each quiz will have a main topical theme but will also have some general knowledge questions. It will usually consist of nine rounds of 10 questions, two of which will be picture table rounds (picture/analytical) and as much as possible linked to the theme of the quiz. The quiz will start at 5.30pm and is expected to end at 7.30pm.
One point will be awarded for each question although the quiz master may award additional bonus points at his discretion. The winning team will naturally be the team that scores the most points.
Answer papers will be provided and after each round each team will exchange their answers with another for marking. The table rounds will be announced in the same way. At the end of the quiz team papers will again be exchanged and the scores announced.
To promote camaraderie each team will consist of six people with a maximum of seven tables on the night. Every effort will be made to accommodate specific requests to sit with others but such requests must clearly be noted in the comments box when reserving. If none are expressed teams will be formed by the organiser in advance.
Team names will be required and are to be entered on the top of each answer paper.
The quiz master is Brian Moore whose decision regarding any answer is final.
