As the years go by most people suffer with with some form of hearing loss to a larger or smaller extent and it is no secret that many members of U3A International are no exception! With this in mind two experts in the field will be making a presentation as to how that loss can be reduced to a certain degree. They will also be explaining the scientific advances made in recent years to assist loss of hearing and to aid or improve the process of hearing.
Miguel Briales is a well-respected audiologist based in Marbella who has studied and practiced the profession of audiology since 1988. He is known for his research and practicality in the construction of hearing apparatus and comes to speak accompanied by Professor O’Connor Carlos Reina who is currently Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Seville and co-Director of the Department of Otolaryngology at Hospital Quiron in Marbella
Professor O’Connor will be speaking on the loss of hearing, its cause and effect, while Miguel will be covering the relationship between hearing loss and hearing aid technology and hearing aids.
