Chris Beckett’s passion is Russian History. For over 35 years he has researched it’s history and has visited Russia many, many times.  The first part of his series will discuss how Russia came into being: from it’s pre-history and the great Scythian culture to Vikings, Kevian Rus, Novgorod and the Slavs. The rise of city states, the emergence of the Rurik clan, how early Rus became Christian and Ivan the Terrible.
