The Juanar Circuit is a fairly short but steep walk around the back of the Refugio initially following the Istán route for a short while.  This walk begins in the direction of the Mirador, passes through the forest gates and then bears right, proceeding towards La Concha/Istán. The path does not turn left towards La Concha but instead follows the direction of Istán through a gap in the hills. Once at the very top there will be an opportunity to stop for a snack. The route then drops down, crosses the valley beyond and continues up the other side eventually dropping back down to the Refugio. Well-behaved dogs should be fine on this walk.
