KASKADA LOOP

This is a varied terrain walk which takes in great views across the coast. The walk starts by taking the track that can lead to Juanar. After climbing steeply up a zigzag rocky path, the ground flattens out and the walk leaves the Juanar track to follow a different path to Puerto Las Pitas. This path climbs over a ridge and then down before ascending a second ridge where a sign to Vereda del Faro can be seen. Following the ridge towards the sea the route leads to Mirador del Gitanos. From here the path continues downwards until eventually meeting the track which leads back to the start point. During wet periods there are probably some streams to cross.

From Marbella

Take the A355 towards Ojén. About 500m from the roundabout at La Cañada turn left (on the bend). Drive for about 400m to the restaurant on the right. Park opposite the restaurant.

From Coín/Monda

Take the A355 towards Marbella. After KM 33 just before reaching Marbella, turn right, (signposted Cementerio). Drive for about 400m to the restaurant on the right. Park opposite the restaurant.
