La Bola De Mijas – without fire breaks

We start the walk using a rather flat bicycle lane for just over half km, we then cross the road and go up by villa La Paz, we go up to the start of the fire break for about 100m then turn left onto the track where the first 1.5km is easy going and we then turn right onto another track that takes us to the top of La Bola de Mijas. Most of this track is going through pine forests and it is a steady climb all the way to the summit. There are great views on the way up and once at the top the views are of Malaga City, Port and Airport and out as far as Sierra Nevada; in the other direction Gibraltar and Africa. We will have a couple of stops on the way up and a good rest at the top before we return, please ensure you bring plenty of water.
