ON THE LA QUINTA TRAIL

The walk proceeds from La Pesquera to the other end of the San Pedro Paseo. After crossing the bridge, the walk turns inland towards Nueva Andalucia. There are a variety of surfaces including boardwalk, pavement and hard-packed trail.

The walk is a mixture of seaside and countryside...the sea views of the esplanade give way to tree-lined broad boulevards and then farmland before reaching the outskirts of Nuevo Andalucia. Refreshments are available at the ''La Taberna'' prior to the return.

Directions to La Pesquera

From Marbella

Take the A7 direction San Pedro. Continue past Puerto Banus. At Kilometre 172 take the exit to Ronda. After 100m enter the roundabout and take the 5th exit which leads under the bridge across the A7. At the roundabout, go straight across (2nd exit) and follow the road down to the beach. At the beach T-junction, turn right and go to the last roundabout, where there is available parking. La Pesquera is located on the Paseo.

From Estepona

Take the A7 direction Marbella. At Km 170 (before the tunnel) take the San Pedro turn off. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit on to the dual carriageway. Go to 5th traffic light and turn right down to the Paseo. Go to the roundabout at the sea front, where there is available parking. La Pesquera is on the Paseo.
