VILLA FRANCO RIO GRANDE
We drive several kilometres to the start of the walk. Note, 5 km are on rough dirt track (my Renault Modus copes with it but it’s very dusty and bumpy). We start near a bridge over the Rio Grande. The walk takes us past open farmsteads where dogs need to be on leads, also there may be a field of sheep. We ascend is a long incline that should be taken slowly with panoramic views towards Malaga and back towards the Sierra de las Nieves. Afterwards the track becomes more level and we get views to Pizzara and Álora.
