Leaving the Parque del Castillo behind, with its castle resplendent on the hill, this walk embarks on the Fuengirola Paseo Maritimo. It crosses the Fuengirola river, passes the Puerto Deportivo and arrives at the Espigon de la T and then continues to Los Boliches playa. It passes a variety of street bars and chiringuitos, which in full season are a hub of activity. Return is by the same route after an opportunity for refreshments at a nearby chiringuito.

From the restaurante La Pesquera de San Pedro participants will walk along the picturesque San Pedro paseo with grassy area on the left and wide beach with palm trees on the right. At the Rio Guadaiza participants will turn inland and follow the path along the river to Nueva Andelucia. There will be an opportunity to stop at a chiringuito for coffee before the return via the same route.

Walk participants will head west along the paseo maritimo towards Puerto Banus passing some of Marbella’s beachfront shops and restaurants before crossing a small stream. They will then continue along the paseo passing the upmarket chiringuitos of the Marbella Beach Club and Puerto Romano before arriving at Victors Beach, There will be an opportunity to take refreshments before returning along the same route.

From the meeting place at the corner of the marina participants proceed across a rough car park and along a flat hardened path around the back of Playa del Christo beach. They then enter a newer section of boardwalk heading west towards Manilva. The path gently climbs to Balcon de la Costa del Sol with magnificent views of Gibraltar. Walkers gently descend to cross the bridge over the Rio Guadalobon and continue on the boardwalk and paseo until Costa Natura is reached. Walkers return by the same route. On the return journey there will be an opportunity to take refreshments at a local cafe.

Walk Participants will head east along the busy Marbella paseo maritimo following the orange trees and passing the Fishermen’s cottages and lockups. They will then continue along the paseo past chiringuito La Dolce Vita before entering the boardwalk along the sand dunes that leads towards Bahia de Marbella. Along the way participants will have sea views, and on the left, they will see various commercial enterprises, luxury urbanizations and the Rio Real golf course. There will be an opportunity to take refreshments at a chiringuito before returning along the same route.

Walk participants will leave the meeting place heading east along San Pedro’s paseo maritimo before crossing the bridge over the Guadaiza river. They will then continue along the boardwalk passing several coves on their passage to Puerto Banus. Walkers will continue around the Puerto Banus waterfront and marina to the La Victoria statue. From here they will proceed along the Puerto Banus Paseo and finally enter the boardwalk leading to Coral Beach where there will be an opportunity for refreshments at a beachside cafe. Walkers will return by the same route except when going through Puerto Banus where a section of road walking will be used to bypass the marina.

From the parking area participants will walk along the wooden boardwalks which traverse the Artola dunes before a short walk around Cabopino Harbour. There will be an opportunity to have lunch at a restaurant on Cabopino harbour and catch up with other walkers celebrating the sandpiper walking season.
