WALKING – COUNTRY WALKS

Pleasant walks in the countryside every other week for about two hours duration and of  7-10 km.  All the details of each walk including the degree of difficulty can be seen in the THE LIST OF COUNTRY WALKS. Attendance is only available to members and must be confirmed through the reservation system during the two weeks before each walk

The walks are intended for those who enjoy a good brisk outing but who would like to “stop and look” occasionally and still be able to catch up with the group.

On most walks there are likely to be inclines where some may become out of breath and rather warm. There could also be paths which are rocky and occasionally shallow streams to cross.

The pace will take account of all participants but will be quicker than a ramble. The intention is to enable everyone to enjoy the occasion and so a gentle pace is maintained with occasional pauses to keep the group together. Nevertheless, the walk has to be completed in a reasonable time so the pauses may not be long enough for some. A reasonable degree of fitness is therefore required and those wishing to attend should be fully confident of their ability to participate. New walks this season.

Departure from the meeting points is always PROMPT
