ALBUQUERIA VALLEY – UPPER WATERFALLS

The first 20 mins of this walk follow a shady forest path, with small rocks in places, that becomes increasingly steep before reaching a wide unmade road. However, it does ascend to a wider path which can be called a pleasant and easier, country walk. The track continues upwards, passing cork oaks and points where there are beautiful views. A couple of little streams are crossed where, during wet times, some good waterfalls can be seen. Wet feet can be avoided, though. The more accessible track is then followed for about 3 km, where the rest is taken. The return is by the same route, meaning that the last 20 mins are steep in places. 

Directions to Meeting Place

From Marbella

Take the A355. Continue past Monda. After 16 km, the  Monda Glass Factory and BP Garage are on the right. Take this junction, continue around the BP Garage, and park in front of the venta, El Fogon de los Vidales. This is the meeting place. 

From Coín/Alhaurín/Cártama

Take the A355 direction Marbella. At Km 13, take the exit to Monda Glass Factory and the B.P Garage on the left. Go around the B.P. Garage and park in front of the venta, El Fogon de los Vidales. This is the meeting place.
