Camino Forrestal Alhaurin el Grande

Walk through La Paca urbanisation and head up to the pine forest on el camino forrestal. After 10 mins enter pine forest and keep heading up. Ignore 1st road to the left and after another 10 to 15 mins branch right at the T junction. The forest road in now flat passing through an almond grove, past a fire break with nice views. After approx 20 mins we head upwards again on a path on the left towards the old forest guards house which takes another 15 mins to reach, from which there are panoramic views of the valley and towards Malaga and the sea. From there we can go downwards the other side, past the “fuente de acebuche”, head down the camino forestal and then head East along a reasonably flat road for approx 20 mins until the road comes to an end. From there one can return the same way and head down the Camino Forestal, through La Paca to the Mirador or cut down on another path finishing walking along a tarmac road for approx 15mins which takes one back to La Paca. We could have coffee, beers etc at El Mirador Hotel. The times are approximate but I think it would take 2.5 to 3 hrs altogether
