NACIMIENTO DE COÍN AND FIRE-LOOKOUT

Starting from the Nacimiento de Coín, the walk will be through the pine forest and across heath land. The route follows a stony path which has an incline. At the top, the path flattens out before another incline up to the mirador next to a fire lookout post with great views down to the coastline and surrounding countryside. There will be a stop here for a refreshment break. On the way back the route goes down a fire break with an easy slope, then back to our starting point.

Directions to Nacimiento de Coín

From Marbella:
Take the A355 direction Ojén.
Continue past Ojén and past Monda.
After Kilometre 11 take the exit signed COÍN, MIJAS, FUENGIROLA MA3303. Turn Right at the junction.
After 200m turn right at a Yellow PRECAUCION sign.
After 100m turn right after the yellow building on the right.
Park here. This is the Meeting Place.

From Alhaurín El Grande
Go to the roundabout near Alhaurín Golf with the BP Filling Station and Los Morenos Restaurant.
Take the MA3303 towards Coín.
Go past Las Delicias. Continue 800m approx.
Turn LEFT immediately after the Garden Statue business (on the right).
There is a Yellow PRECAUCION sign on the junction. (Hard to see until after you have turned.)
After 100m turn right after the yellow building on the right.
Park here. This is the Meeting Place.

From La Trocha/Cártama:
Take the A355 direction Marbella.
After Kilometre 10 take take the exit signed COÍN, MIJAS, FUENGIROLA MA3303.
Turn Left at the junction. After 300m turn right at a Yellow PRECAUCION sign.
After 100m turn right after the yellow building on the right.
Park here. This is the Meeting Place.
