ESTEPONA MARINA TO COSTA NATURA

From the meeting place at the corner of the marina participants proceed across a rough car park and along a flat hardened path around the back of Playa del Christo beach. They then enter a newer section of boardwalk heading west towards Manilva. The path gently climbs to Balcon de la Costa del Sol with magnificent views of Gibraltar. Walkers gently descend to cross the bridge over the Rio Guadalobon and continue on the boardwalk and paseo until Costa Natura is reached. Walkers return by the same route. On the return journey there will be an opportunity to take refreshments at a local cafe.

Directions to meeting point from Marbella

CAR

Take the A7 towards Estepona and go past Estepona towards Manilva. As the road heads back towards the coast take the Estepona exit which heads back to the west of Estepona along Avenue del Carmen. After the road goes past Playa Del Christo beach, take a right turn down C.Virgen del Naranjo road to the rough car park.Then when parked walk to the corner of the marina on the edge of the car park.

BUS

Take the 79 bus to Estepona and get off at the last stop called pasada de autobuses Estepona (in Avenue Juan Carlos) after going around the city. Walk past the fountain (in the roundabout) towards the seafront. Turn right along the paseo maritimo and walk to the harbour. Follow the path/road around the edge of the harbour, keeping the harbour visible on the left. Go left along Avenue Luis Braille to the end and the meeting point. NOTE - The walk from the bus stop to the meeting point is approx 1.6km.
