GUARO PUERTO ALTO
This walk follows a route through almond and olive groves and climbing up to the Puerto Alto for some fantastic views. Leaving Guaro, the start descends 150 metres down to a valley with a few houses and cultivation, then across the Rio Seco and straight up the steep 400 metre ascent of the Cuesta de lo Alto which is the hardest part of the walk. The effort required is compensated by the magnificent views back through the valley and then the views across to Tolox and Yunquera on the other side when the walk continues along the top. There´s a stop for a break and then the walk heads back on a circular route down to the valley and then up the final 150 metres ascent.
