THE BLUE QUARRY
The walk “las canteras azules” starts by taking an upward path through the pine forest. After a pause at the top of the incline, the trail follows a single file, open path high around the edge of a deep valley with steep scree slopes on the left (vertigo sufferers beware). There are fine views back to sea near Fuengirola.

MARBELLA TO LOS MONTEROS BEACH
The walk follows the new completed section of the coastal path (sendero litoral) that leads from Marbella to Los Monteros. Its raised boardwalk affords views of the sea, various commercial enterprises, luxury urbanizations and the Rio Real Golf Course.
FUENTE DEL ACEBUCHE, ALHAURÍN EL GRANDE
The walk starts by following the Camino Forestal into the pine forest and up to the Fuente del Acebuche (wild olive spring) eventually leading to the Forest Guard’s house where there is a stop to admire the spectacular views of the Guadalhorce Valley.
BENAHAVIS AQUEDUCT WALK
This is one of the most spectacular walks in the programme with stunning views of the Angosturas Gorge and Guadalmina River. The walk along the aqueduct is both peaceful and picturesque An experience that should not be missed.

CASCADA LOOP (formerly Kaskada Loop)
This is a varied terrain walk which takes in great views across the coast. There will be steep paths and ridges to climb. The route will lead to the Mirador del Gitanos. During wet periods there may be some streams to cross.

LAGUNA VILLAGE TO ESTEPONA
This Sandpiper walk is from Laguna Village (under reconstruction after the fire) to Estepona and return. Many urbanisations and Hotels have now connected their properties to the boardwalk making for an interesting walk.
LA BOLA DE MIJAS
This demanding hill walk follows an out-and-back track that climbs through the pine forest above Alhaurín El Grande, passing the Casa Forestal, to the top of La Bola. Views at the top can be spectacular. This is definitely for the fit walker.
MARBELLA FOOTBALL CENTRE TO THE GUADAIZA RESERVOIR
This walk will delight country and nature lovers. Passing a finca and a golf course it enters a wide gorge along the Guadaiza river and leads to a reservoir. Vistas are picturesque and wildlife may be spotted.
ERMITA DE LOS MONJES
This walk climbs through a forest alongside a mountain stream to the ruined Ermita de los Monjes. It then emerges from the forest with great views of Marbella, Puerto Banús and across to Gibraltar and North Africa on a clear day. The walk involves some climbing over rocks whilst crossing streams, particularly near the start.
